Message I was replacing my cross member because of a badly designed camber kit installed at the lower arms level causing all kind of clicking and vibrations ... removing the cross member was not that hard because once you support the engine under the oil pan, it comes right off ... but the big surprise was is that both engine mounts fell off ... the rubber basically was split in the middle !!! the engine was just floating on top of them not attached to anything but the tranny !!! it was really hard getting the bolts of while the engine was in the car ... he didn't want to remove the A/C compressor because it is a pain .. then finally he was able to loosen the bolt .. at the passenger side he just removed the alternator to get to the bolt ... oh boy these bolts are on really tight !!
anyway .. I waited there because no one can just bring me back to San Diego till my car is done.
He also put on the 300 Degrees camber kit. My old camber kit was made by "Specialty Products" don't ever use that kit !!!
One minor I have now with the 300Degrees kit is that bolt head is kind bigger and pushed the brake master cylinder a little bit, so it does not sit straight but at a slight angle, causing a funny feel in the pedal when I reach the end .. it feel like there is a slight resistance ... I hope that this will not cause any damage to it on the long term !! what do you guys think of that !? the master cylinder was never removed form the lines only the bolts where loosened ...
